As well as presenting works as a lacquer artist, Wakamiya is not limited to a single job such as a Nushiya(lacquerware shop) and a Makie painter, but plans new works while considering the inheritance of traditional designs and patterns, and fosters craftsman who suitable for it.
He is also a producer of Hikoju Makie. The team is actively developing the market for lacquerware and making announcements overseas.
