ケヤキ材を挽き梵鐘のように彫刻と蒔絵の技法で制作。青銅に見えるように青銅塗を施し、蓋の内部は金や螺鈿の材料を平文の技法で宇宙に見立てたモザイクで仕上げ、親の内部は螺鈿で水を表し輪廻を象徴した蓮を描く。
